Because the world is unfair, women’s grooming and beautifying products are usually more expensive than men’s.

It needs to stop. Marketing is a lie and we’re not buying into it any longer.

In light of it being National Men’s Grooming Day on August 19,we’ve rounded up some of our favorite men’s products that us ladies can use, too.

1. Wanderer Calming Body Cleanser with Amber and Lavender ($9.50)

This stuff smells like a garden in the most pleasant, understated way. It’s not too flowery and the scent isn’t overpowering. It also lathers really well, making it perfect to use for shaving your legs.

2. Anthony Exfoliating + Cleansing Bar ($17)

No bar of soap should cost this much, but this one is decently sized and legitimately a joy to use. The scent is minimal and the two-in-one aspect of it totally sped up our shower time.

3. Calvin Klein CK One Summer ($54)

This is like a beach party in a spray. There’s a definite muskiness to it and it lasts for hours so you don’t need a lot to go a long way. The lime mojito and cedarwood notes make it a really sexy scent.

4. Gillette Fusion Proglide Men’s Razor ($10)

Thick-haired ladies, celebrate this glorious razor! These babies don’t shred your legs like other women’s razors can and they do a great job at getting all the hair.

 5. Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 ($7.50)

This balm is ultra moisturizing with a non-greasy, smooth texture. The minty scent leaves your lips a bit tingly and also does double duty as a breath refresher.

6. Clinique Oil Control Mattifying Moisturizer ($26)

If you have large pores and/or oily skin, this is the holy grail. It acts as a dope pore minimizer and pseudo-primer. We put it on pre-makeup application and it gives a flawless finish.

7. Cetaphil Men Daily Face Cloths ($7)

These take off makeup easily and are great to keep in your bag for whenever you need to clean your face on-the-go.

8. Dove Men+Care Antiperspirant Deodorant, Clean Comfort ($4-$5)

Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but this stuff LASTS. The smell is totally fresh and stays that way all day and night. Even on incredibly hot days when our other deodorants give up, this one keeps it pushin’.

Head on over to the men’s section, ladies. It’s a treasure trove.

Something truly unique happened recently on the internet: A comedy website made rape jokes that were actually funny.

Reductress is a hilarious, witty, and unapologetically feminist website where writers take on issues like body image, “lady” marketing, fashion, and important moments in culture.

In this case, Reductress was responding to a story that’s reverberated through the New York comedy community this month. Basically, anonymous female comedians who reported sexual assaults from another male comedian were met not with support. Instead, they were faced with doubt, insults, and even deeply offensive jokes at their expense.

For Reductress’ all-female editorial board, enough was enough.

On Aug. 17, 2016, Reductress published article after article full of jokes about rape.

By the evening, they had filled the entire homepage.

The stories weren’t full of the typical and incredibly hurtful jokes that we often hear, though. Instead, the jokes pointed out common tropes and misconceptions about rape, hitting on all the issues that are oh-so-familiar to sexual assault survivors and their allies.

For example:

If you’re tired of hearing that women are “lying about rape to get attention,” reading “I Anonymously Reported My Rape for the Anonymous Attention” might feel pretty cathartic.

If you’re sick of the reminder that most survivors of sexual assault know their attacker personally,Man who sexually assaulted you likes your Facebook Post about assault” will ring agonizingly true.

If you’re outraged by a justice system that can sometimes seem eager to find fault in sexual assault survivors, the first paragraph of “Fun Summer Cocktails When They Ask You ‘Well, What Were You Drinking?’” will fill you up:

“Summer time and livings easy! Unless youre being questioned about a traumatic sexual assault. Luckily, there are refreshing and light cocktails in season, which you can throw back when police, detectives, doctors, friends, and acquaintances ask you, ‘Well, what were you drinking that night?'”

Not surprisingly, people loved it.

Most rape jokes usually have two things in common: They’re made at the expense of survivors (who are often female), and the jokes are almost exclusively made by men.

Those kind of rape jokes aren’t funny to a lot of people, though. For survivors and allies, they can resurface buried trauma. For women, they can be a reminder that 1 in 3 of us will be sexually assaulted in our lifetimes.

And, let’s be real: For comedy in general, they’re pretty darn lazy. As Garry Trudeau (“Doonesbury”) famously reminded us last year: The best jokes “punch up,” never down. It’s the difference between making fun of a kid who falls over and making fun of the grown man who tripped him. Or in this case, making fun of the culture surrounding rape instead of the victims of it.

A new British shearing record has been set by two Powys farmers.

Duo Gareth Daniel and Ian Jones sheared a combined total of 1,457 lambs over nine hours on Friday.

The Nine Hour Two Stand Lamb Shearing record had never been attempted in Britain before.

Their attempt began at 05:00 BST in line with the shearing day in New Zealand, where many shearing records are established and broken.

It continued in sessions of up to two hours until a total of nine hours was reached at 17:00.

According to organisers, scientific tests have suggested that shearing 250 sheep uses the same amount of energy as running a marathon.

Mr Daniel, 33, from Machynlleth, sheared 781 lambs while Mr Jones, 36, from Builth Wells, achieved 676.

The pair spent two years preparing for the event, with both farmers working on their fitness and diet.

One of the event organisers, Huw Condran, compared the record to Olympic success.

He said: “What’s been achieved in Rio is excellent, but I think these athletes deserve to be acknowledged too.

“They work for nine hours, seven days a week. They don’t run one race and then have a week off, they’re back in work.

“And when they’re on top of their game, they come here and set records for us.”
